terms
the agreement between you and Journaleaf, in plain words.
last updated 15th October 2026
Journaleaf (“we”, “us”) is a website at journal-leaf.com for daily positive affirmations and journaling. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Journaleaf.
not a replacement for care
Journaleaf is a self-care tool. It is not therapy, medical advice, or a crisis service. If you are struggling or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or find a free helpline near you at findahelpline.com.
who can use it
You need to be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for online services where you live if that is higher. If you're under 18, please use Journaleaf with a parent or guardian's permission.
free trial and paid plans
- New members can use everything free for 3 days.
- After the trial, Journaleaf needs a paid plan: monthly, yearly, or a one-time lifetime payment. Current prices are on the pricing page.
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- “Lifetime” means for as long as Journaleaf is running. If we ever close, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and a way to export everything you've written.
- If we change a price, it applies from your next renewal, and we'll tell you before then.
payments
Payments are handled by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and handles card details, billing, and sales tax or VAT. Your bank statement may show their name. We never see or store your full card number. Refunds follow our refund policy.
your words stay yours
Everything you write in Journaleaf, including journal entries and your own affirmations, belongs to you. We don't sell it, and we only handle it to run the service for you, as the privacy page explains. The affirmations, prompts, illustrations, and design of Journaleaf belong to us.
using it kindly
Please don't misuse Journaleaf: no trying to break or overload it, no accessing other people's accounts, and no reselling it. We may suspend an account that does these things.
if things go wrong
We work hard to keep Journaleaf running and your writing safe, but we provide it “as is” and can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law where you live.
changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and let members know. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions are welcome at hello@journal-leaf.com.
